WSMI's Scrambled Word Of The Day for May 2021

To participate in the contest one may listen to WSMI-FM 106.1 on most weekday mornings between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM and listen for the letters for the scrambled word of the day, once a contestant solves the scrambled word, they may call the radio station on one of the phone lines announced at the time of the contest (i.e. 217-532-2066), long distance charges may apply. When the contestant reaches the radio station they will voice their solution and if correct will be asked to submitt their name.
There will be multiple winners each who will receive no prize on each morning the contest is played. Everyone who plays may simply enjoy the challenge of solving that day's scrambled word. We will attempt to mention as many winners as possible prior to 9 AM on WSMI-FM 106.1, often all of the winners from that day's contest will be mentioned.
Calls will be answered in calling order to the best ability of our staff.
A weekly prize winner will be selected from the list of all who called in with the correct solution for the daily scrambled word and was one of the daily winners during that week and who meets the eligibility requirements below. There will be only one weekly prize winner of a pocket AM/FM/weather radio each contest week during the month of May 2021.
The chance of winning will depend upon the number of contestants who solve the daily scrambled word during a given week or given month and meet the eligibility requirements.
There will be no possibility of a tie for the weekly or monthly winner.
To be eligible to win a prize: Only one winner per household per 30 days for any on-air or on-line contest or give-away. All winners must be at least 18 years old at the time of the contest. Employees of Talley Broadcasting Corporation and its affiliates, advertisers, prize providers, and members of their families or households are ineligible for all contests.
The weekly prize is a pocket AM/FM radio that is valued between $10 and $20.
One monthly winner will be chosen at random from those who called in and correctly solved a daily scrambled word. The May winner will receive a Panasonic RF-2400D portable AM/FM radio valued at $30.
If a prize becomes unavailable, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted.
Prizes may be picked up at the WSMI main studios between Litchfield & Hillsboro during regular business hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Monday through Friday. Closed on Holidays. Due to COVID social distancing please call before arrival and please wear a mask.
All prizes not claimed within 30 days after the winner has been notified or after the winner has been announced on the air will be forfeited.
A legal ID is required.
Rules can change; decisions of judges are final.
