Man Charged in Mt. Olive Shooting Incident

A man shot by a Sheriff's deputy near Mt. Olive has been charged in Macoupin County. According to Macoupin County Sheriff Shawn Kahl, 30 year old Brett Foster of Mt. Olive has been charge by the Macoupin County State's Attorney Office with Aggravated Assault.  Read more...

Hillsboro residents may soon notice a change in their electric bills. At Tuesday night's city council meeting, a decision was made on the community aggregation bid. Coffeen Lake Reopens To Boaters

(Coffeen)--The Illinois Department of Natural Resources announced that Coffeen Lake is now open to boating traffic. The lake was closed on February 25th as 700 gallons of turbine gas from the Coffeen Power Station leaked into the lake area. No impact on fish and wildlife was dectected.  Read more...
