There is a lost dog in the WSMI listening area. The dog is a black lab mix, approximately 55 pounds with a pink collar and goes by the name Riley. A Taylorville man was killed in a car versus bicycle accident Thursday morning west of Auburn. According to Illinois State Police, 22 year old William Cohen of Pawnee was driving a 1999 Nissan westbound on Rt. 104 when the vehicle drifted onto the westbound shoulder and struck a bicycle at 8:42am.  Read more...

(Springfield)--The Illinois firearm deer hunting season begins Friday through Sunday and concludes November 29th through December 2nd. According to the Department of Natural Resources, hunters harvested over ninty eight thousand deer during last year's hunt.
