For the last two years, the Carlinville Area Hospital Auxiliary has awarded $1,000 scholarships to a Macoupin County high school graduate who intends to pursue a career in the medical field. Charles Shelton, 72, and Deborah Warren, 59, were pronounced dead by Montgomery County Coroner Randy Leetham at a residence on North 3rd Street in Witt.
