Alcohol Related Accident in Hillsboro

(Hillsboro)--One person was arrested following an alcohol related accident Sunday in Hillsboro. According to the Hillsboro Police Department, a car driven by 31 year old Richard Stewart of Hillsboro was westbound on Water Street, near the intersection of Oak Street, when he collided with a parked car belonging to 28 year old Nicole Hayes of Hillsboro.

The accident caused Hayes vehicle to collide with the front of her residence, causing damage to the house. Stewart was cited with DUI, possession of cannabis, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
