Overturned Truck Closes Route 16

(Nokomis)--The Nokomis Fire Department on Thursday was dispatched to a fuel tank truck that had overturned on Route 16, near the Subway resturant. The Nokomis Police Department closed Route 16 in both directions while the tanker was being emptied and moved.

According to the Nokomis Fire Department, fuel tank trucks from Raymond and Nokomis were called in to empty over seventy five hundred gallons of product.

No one was injured in the incident, and Route 16 was reopened around 3:45 Thursday afternoon.
