Roadside Safety Checkpoint Figures Released

(Litchfield)--Illinois State Police District 18 recently announced the results of a road side saftety checkpoint that was held on Saturday, May 24th at the intersection of Route 127 and Route 16. According to figures released by District 18, a total of 31 arrests and 55 written warnings were given during the checkpoint.

According to Illinois State Police, 18 violations were for registration offenses, 6 offenses were for occupant restraint offenses, and one arrest was for driving under the influence.
