Chinatown Restaurant Burglary

Thu, 17 Sep 2015 14:03:58 CDT
A suspect is in custody after a burglary at Chinatown Restaurant in Litchfield early Wednesday morning. According to the Litchfield Police Department, a window was broken and approximately $600 in cash was missing from the restaurant. Also that morning, the First National Bank on Ohren Lane reported finding items outside the building and it was suspected an attempted burglary had occurred. Evidence recovered from both scenes, including video footage, led to the arrest of 19-year-old Kerias L. McCray of Pooler, Georgia. McCray was staying at a local motel during his employment. The missing cash was recovered and McCray was taken into custody for burglary, theft over $500 and criminal damage to property at Chinatown Restaurant. McCray was also charged with attempted burglary at First National Bank. McCray is in custody at the Montgomery County Jail until an initial court appearance.
