Woman Arrested for DUI, Leaving Accident Scene

A Kincaid woman was arrested in Litchfield Wednesday evening for leaving the scene of an accident that involved five vehicles.

Carley Prince, 23, was taken into custody for Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Driving Under the Influence.

According to the Litchfield Police, traffic was stopped on Route 16 at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday because of a train passing through. Prince, who was driving a red Buick, allegedly attempted to drive around some of the stopped cars. While attempting to pass, her car scraped one of the vehicles and then collided with another head-on. After coming to a stop, she got out of the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. She was later located and placed under arrest.

A person in one of the vehicles that was hit was taken to the hospital by ambulance, however the severity of that person's injuries is unknown.
