Subsoil moisture was rated at 54 percent adequate and 46 precent surplus. Winter wheat headed was at 1 percent, compared to 3 percent last year, and the 5-year average of 1 percent. Winter wheat condition was rated at 5 percent very poor, 8 percent poor, 32 percent fair, 50 percent good and 5 percent excellent.
