Macoupin Fatal Accident

A Brighton woman was killed in a single vehicle accident Sunday east of Brighton.

According to the Macoupin County Sheriff's Office, 39 year old Christina Reedy was driving a 2010 Chevy Cobalt east on the Brighton-Bunker Hill Road, west of Fosterburg Road, when the vehicle left the roadway at 4:20pm.

The car went down a large embankment, struck serveral trees and came to rest in a ravine.

Reedy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Macoupin County Coroner.
