Drug Induced Homicide Arrest Made

Hillsboro police arrest a man on drug induced homicide charges in connection with a December overdose death. James McBrain is charged with drug induced homicide charges in connection with the December 4th death of 30-year-old Justin Calcott of Hillsboro at a residence on Hickory Street. McBrain was arrested Thursday by the US Marshalls Service in Springfield. The multijurisdictional investigation and data combined the efforts Hillsboro, Litchfield and Carlinville Police, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Illinois State Police / South Central llinois Drug Task Force. McBrain is being held in the Montgomery County Jail with a bond of $750,000.
