Montomgery County Bicentennial is Now Rainproof
Sat, 10 Apr 2021 01:26:05 CDT
The forecast has made planning for the Montgomery County Bicentennial unpredictable just like when the original event was postponed in February due to a cold blast. The forecast has been taking a turn for the worse with more indications of rain. Today’s ceremony at noon will begin outside the Historic Courthouse in Hillsboro if rain holds off, otherwise Bicentennial planners now have clerance to move the ceremony to the County Board meeting room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse. Families with ties to the first settlers in Montgomery County 200 years ago will join the likes of Congressman Rodney and State Representative Avery Bourne at the ceremony.
