Litchfield School Board Chooses Officers, Moves Meeting Nights

The Litchfield School Board has kicked off a new term. Board members opted to continue with Julie Abel serving as President, Ron Anglin was voted in as Vice President and Valerie Cain as Secretary. An idea discussed during the Litchfield candidates forum has become a reality. The tradition of simultaneous city council and school board meetings will end this summer. Starting in July, the board will meet on the third Tuesday of each month, instead of the third Thursday of the month. The development of a new elementary school has shown the occasional need for board members to attend city council meetings.
