American Farmland Trust and Precision Conservation Management Field Day

Local farmers and landowners looking to enhance their knowledge on the in-season impacts of cover crop application should feel free to attend a discussion-based field event sponsored by the American Farmland Trust and Precision Conservation Management. This event will be held at two separate field locations in Macoupin County on Thursday, June 10th from 9 to 11 A.M. Field 1 is located at 14791 IL Route 16 West of Gillespie, the field will be located on the North side of the highway. Field 2 is located at 2120 Prairietown Rd, just Southeast of Bunker Hill, the field will be on the West side of the road.
No registration is required and you can stop by anytime between 9 and 11 at either field.
Guest presenters Dr. Nick Seiter with the University of Illinois and Jason Boehler with M&M Service Co. will walk through the field with those who attend to discuss the economic implications of pest control along with other best management practices that are geared to help farmers transition into the use of cover crops in Illinois.
