35th Montgomery County Fair

The 35th Annual Montgomery County Fair will be held Wednesday, June 23rd through Sunday, June 27th at the fairgrounds in Butler. Agricultural events include the sheep show at 9am followed by the goat show at noon on Wednesday. Thursday the beef show is at 9am, and on Friday the swine show starts at 9 am. All Ag events will take place in the 4-H park on the Southwestern part of the fairgrounds. General admission to the fair is $7.00 and includes free parking and carnival rides.

General Fair activites start on Wednesday night with opening ceremonies at 7pm followed by the queen pageant at 7:30pm, grandstand admission for the pageant is $5. The carnival opens at 6pm.

Thursday's activities include the karaoke contest at 7pm in the expo building, which is free with your general fair admission. The carnival opens at 6pm.

Friday's activities include the motocross and quad races at 7:30. Grandstand admission is $5, pit passes are $10. The carnival opens at 6pm. Live music by DJ Tara Baker will be in the beer pavillion.

Saturday is Kids Day, with activites from 11am to 1pm, and a carnival matinee from 1 to 3pm. The carnival opens for the evening at 6pm and the Power Wheels Derby starts at 7pm, followed by the demolition derby at 7:30. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and a pit pass is $20. Live music by hunter Sharp will be in the beer pavillion.

On Sunday the fair wraps up with the tractor pulls at noon, followed by the truck pulls at approximatley at 3pm. Grandstand admission is $5, pit passes are $15. The carnival is open Sunday form noon to 5 pm.
