Overnight Ramp Closures at IL Route 108 Exit 60

Expect on and off ramp closures from 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. through Thursday on northbound I-55 at Exit 60 (IL-108), otherwise known as the Carlinville exit. Construction in that area is ongoing, as they repave the approaches and the Highway 108 overpass at Exit 60.  Read more...


Montgomery Co. Vaccination Clinics

Hillsboro School Dist. to Follow Mask Mandate

Monday evening, at a special meeting of the Hillsboro School Board, members discussed possible litigation against Governor Pritzker and the Illinois State Board of Education over the school mask mandate. Fatal Crash on I-55 Southbound Friday

More details are out on Friday’s fatal crash on I-55 in Macoupin County, South of Litchfield and just North of the Mt. Olive exit. A 28-year-old Warrenton, Missouri woman was killed, two toddlers and a seven-year-old girl were injured as well as the 51-year-old driver from Warrenton.  Read more...


Census Shows Population Loss for Montgomery County

Population report cards are out and for the most part the news from the Census Bureau isn’t what was hoped for. Montgomery County population dropped below the 30,000 to 28,288. That’s a loss of more than 1,800 people over the past ten years and a decline of six percent.  Read more...

Man Involved in Farm Accident Identified

New COVID-19 Protocols Put to the Test in Hillsboro Schools

Hillsboro Schools are testing their Test to Stay Protocol in hopes to avoiding extensive quarantines with the rise of Covid 19.
